membership & the pot
membership terms
thaypley is members-only. one key opens the whole house, the house pays its members back, and every creator keeps 90%.

- there is no free tier. the house stays ad-free, algorithm-free, and funded by the people who live in it. (your) first 30 days are free, one trial per person.
- $5/mo base membership opens everything: (your) room, feed, messages, going live, lens star, astral(mined), the vault, (your) store, and (your) wallet/thay(cash), plus thay(jot), thay(drip), thay(locker), and dabba's whole family of applications.
- base membership includes thay(fam) and thay(werk) at no extra charge. they are sold separately for people with no thaypley room: thay(fam) is $19.99/mo for a household of 6 accounts, plus $2.49 per extra member, and thay(werk) is $19/mo for the work dashboard, store builder and custom-domain hosting.
- annual billing is 10 months for 12 on every plan. monthly is the default and can be switched at checkout or in billing.
- desktop app add-ons are $5/mo each, thaypley(tunes) desktop and thaypley(tv) desktop. the duplex bundles tunes + tv for $8/mo: $2 saved every month. the creator bundle, thay(studio), (design), (lsphoto), (lsvideo), (ls)effect, and (pattern), is one tier at $15/mo.
- tunes artist access is $15/year. the first 25 real artists who publish on thaypley(tunes) keep free uploads for life. after those founding seats fill, new artists subscribe annually. artist access is platform revenue, separate from the listener pool.
- listener subscriptions live on: the $1/mo founder rate is locked for life for the founding listeners holding it, never repriced, never transferred. the $5/mo standard listener sub feeds the artist pool directly.
- memberships are personal. sharing login credentials to let others into paid content is a violation.
- cancellation takes effect at the end of (your) current billing period. no partial refunds for unused time. if a payment fails, (you) get a short grace before the house locks.
- legacy premium memberships from before the august 2026 membership pivot remain honored.
the pot, member revenue share
- thaypley pays its members a share of total platform revenue. the share starts at 15% and rises over time toward 20%, a true member revenue share, not a loyalty gimmick.
- three pools, three ledgers. one pool for the platform, every dollar the platform earns sets aside there, and the 15→20% pot is paid from it. one pool for thaypley(tunes) subscriptions. one pool for thaypley(tv) subscriptions. each creator pool pays out under its own 90/10 covenant; the pools never borrow from each other.
- distributed at least quarterly to active members in gold hearts, weighted by tenure and participation. any remainder carries forward, it never quietly expires.
- the pot is paid from the platform pool, thaypley's side of the ledger. it never touches the creator 90%, the covenant below is untouchable.
- the pot is provable, not promised. every accrual is signed into the payout ledger with a hash (you) can verify.

the payout model
- two creator pools, one covenant. 90% of every thaypley(tunes) subscription dollar flows into the tunes creator pool, and 90% of every thaypley(tv) subscription dollar flows into the tv creator pool, separate pools because each tier's members fund their own payouts. the covenant is identical: (your) payout = the month's pool × (your) share of real plays and watches.
- the pool is tallied monthly. money lands weekly through stripe connect, with an itemized statement for every cycle. thaypley does not guarantee a fixed per-play rate, the pool floats with the house.
- a play counts after 30 seconds of continuous listening or watching, and the same listen never counts twice.
- zero plays = zero payout for that month. (your) account and catalog are unaffected.
- play and watch manipulation voids the affected plays. repeat manipulation ends accounts.
upload & ownership
- $15/year artist upload subscription is the only direct fee thaypley charges artists. the first 25 real artists who publish keep free uploads for life. once those founding seats fill, new artists subscribe annually. founding seats are counted by distinct uploaders, never by account signups.
- you retain full ownership of your recordings and videos. uploading to thaypley transfers no rights to the platform.
- releases cap at 30 tracks, multi-disk tagging is supported.
- profile song opt-in is off by default. when opted in, anyone on (your) profile can hear the chosen track. profile plays generate no payout, they are the exposure (you) chose.
direct revenue is (yours)
- tips are 100% (yours). every rail, card, hearts, live streams, delivers every cent and every heart to (you). thaypley's cut on tips is zero, always.
- bookings & commissions: (you) set the price, from $1 to $10,000. the same 90/10 covenant applies, split at source, paid to (you) directly.
studio content licensing
- licensing is non-exclusive, minimum 12 months, streaming rights only, no broadcast, theatrical, or download rights. license requests are reviewed within 5 business days.
label linking: if a label requests to link to (your) catalog, (you) always see the exact permission set before (you) accept. (your) payout is always paid directly to (you) by thaypley. a label can never intercept (your) share.

- the covenant holds everywhere: 90% of every sale is (yours), 10% is thaypley's, boutiques, brands, vintage, everyone. no plan tiers, no fee tables, no asterisks.
- (you) keep 90% of full price. discounts and promos are platform-funded marketing, they never reduce (your) payout. tax and shipping pass through 1:1, never inflated.
- (you) are responsible for listing accuracy, order fulfillment, and compliance with consumer protection laws. seller-set sales tax stays (yours) to remit.
- thaypley is not a party to transactions between (you) and buyers. disputes are handled through the platform mediation system.
- payouts ride the weekly rail, the same stripe connect payouts creators get.
- verified brand badge can be revoked for violations of listing standards or platform policies.

- one-of-a-kind only. every listing must be a unique individual item. no duplicates, no bulk lots, no multi-quantity listings.
- real photos required. actual photos of the specific item only. stock images, manufacturer photos, and AI-generated images are prohibited.
- bulk lot sourcing is prohibited. purchasing bulk and listing individually, even if items appear unique, is considered bulk reselling and violates these terms.
- sold items archive permanently. past pieces stay visible on (your) boutique history. sold listings cannot be deleted.
- misrepresenting non-vintage items as vintage will result in listing removal and account review.
label accounts
label terms
for record labels linking to artist catalogs on thaypley(tunes). artist protections are non-negotiable.
catalog linking & deal types
- distribution deal: label distributes music, artist retains master ownership. limited permissions, co-sign required for track removal.
- ownership deal: label owns master recordings. full catalog permissions, label authority on removal. artist notified as courtesy.
- contract upload required. every label link requires an uploaded contract, and thaypley trust & safety reviews it within 3 business days. splits activate when (you) accept the link.
- artists always see the exact permission set before accepting. no hidden permissions.
- misrepresenting deal type results in link removal, reclassification, and a trust & safety strike on the label account.
payouts & splits
- split-at-source. thaypley pays the artist their share directly. the label receives their share separately. labels never touch the artist's money.
- split scope: label splits apply to thaypley(tunes) streaming revenue only. tips, closet sales, merch, and all other revenue go 100% to the artist, never subject to a label split.
- split changes require mutual confirmation. neither party can change the split unilaterally, and the split engine rejects any split that doesn't reconcile to the penny.
artist rights
- artists can always leave. only the artist initiates an unlink. labels cannot force or prevent one.
- clean exits finalize in 48 hours. mediated exits have a firm 14-day cap, revenue is held in escrow and released at the contracted split when the cycle closes. the cap is enforced in code, not on trust.
- coercing an artist into accepting a link is a trust & safety violation and may result in label account suspension.
major label tier: labels with 20,000+ tracks operate on fully negotiated custom agreements. contact thaypley biz dev. royalty distribution to individual artists on your roster remains entirely your responsibility.
hearts & digital assets

the in-house currency. hearts buy everything inside the walls, and cash out to real money at face value.

- face value, always. one gold heart = $1.00. one platinum token = $100.00. heartbits carry the same honesty at sub-dollar scale: one heartbit = $0.01, the cents remainder of (your) heart balance, never a loose approximation.
- gold packs run $10 to $5,000; platinum comes volume-discounted. that's the whole price list, no fine print.
- tips reach the recipient in full. card tips, heart tips, live-stream tips, thaypley's cut on tips is zero on every rail.
- cash-out: 10-gold-heart minimum, paid weekly through stripe connect at 1:1, no cash-out fee. heartbits cash out at their 1¢ face value alongside (your) hearts.
- crypto tips move person-to-person on base ($THAYPLEY, $SLASHCAT). thaypley takes no cut and cannot reverse a chain transaction, crypto tips are final, and token values float. tip only what (you) can lose.
wallets are (your) responsibility. hearts are a balance inside thaypley, not an interest-bearing account. keep (your) credentials safe.
thaypley(suite)
suite beta terms
the creator applications, thaypley(studio), (design), (lsphoto), (lsvideo), (ls)effect, and (pattern), are their own additional bundle: six professional tools, one tier, $15/mo. suite betas ride alongside.
- suite is currently in beta. access is provided as-is. features may change or be removed during beta without notice.
- .tp* file formats (.tpd, .tpp, .tpv, .tpa) are open JSON-based specs owned by the thaypley ecosystem. your files are yours. thaypley claims no ownership over the content of your .tp* files.
- beta feedback may be used to improve the suite. it does not grant thaypley any rights over your creative work.
- pricing will be determined post-beta. beta users receive advance notice before any charges take effect.
- thaypley(architect) accounts, chosen by the founder. that is the whole definition. seats are not for sale.
